Ben and I are big Asheville fans. I spent my Summer there growing up and it’s where we honeymooned! In fact, our honeymoon is the last real vacation we went on. Sad, right? So sad.
But we’re fixing that! We were originally going to go to Zion, but we figured I may not be in a hiking state of mind in November, so we’re finding alternatives. I figured we could find a destination a lot like one we know we love. So I’m going to list out a few. This is what we’re looking for specifically:
- Vegan food
- Art and music
- Friendly people
- Unique shopping
I went to Nashville for my friend Kendall’s wedding, and little of the city I had time to see was great. Look at all these cool murals there are to see. I’d love to explore it more and take in a ton of what it’s so famous for – music!
Sioux Falls, SD
The biggest upside to this is that it’s close – it’s definitely the underdog here. From what I’ve heard it’s a clean, cute city with great food. There’s also Palisade’s State Park! Do you guys know much about Sioux Falls?
My family is from Ohio, but I haven’t seen much of it other than Toledo. Cleveland is underrated from what I’ve heard – music, great food, entertainment. It sounds like it has it all!
I have been here before, but Portland always has more to offer. And Ben has never been! He’ll appreciate their beer scene, I’m sure. Thoughts?
I have driven through Savannah before, but recently I have heard rave reviews about this town. Everyone I know who goes there loves it. It may very well be one of my top choices.
New Orleans, LA
Neither of us have ever been. I think that is reason enough to go! Have you been to NOLA? Is it worth the trip?
We definitely do want your knowledge and feedback on these destinations or any others you love! Where should we vacation?!
